Year-End Campaign Video from David Less

Greetings, everyone, Happy Holidays,

This is David Less and I’m the Chairman of the Board of the Abrahamic Reunion and yes, I am going to ask you to remember us at the end of the year.

Although the year has changed all of us quite radically because of the virus, it has also given us new opportunities.  We’re actually in contact with more people than we ever were, and a lot of our work is based on something called the contact hypothesis, which simply means if you bring people together who don’t know each other but who are ready to hate each other, and they sit at a table or go out for a walk, that something may happen that is positive. And we found that it really does happen, that people really do let down their guard and recognize the other as a human being with needs and rights just like theirs.

We’ve grown a lot this year. We have a grant application into the Rotary Club for a large grant and I hope we get that. We are more skilled at bringing all kinds of people together, young people, older people, women, men, clergy, many many different groups who don’t get a chance to know each other or to meet each other. We’re working with schools and with students.  

We’re really making a change in this world. And of course, with the change in the administration in America that too will provide more opportunities as well.
