Dear Sisters and Brothers,
I’m writing for you these words about our projects in the Holy Land. I want to tell you that your support is keeping us going toward the great goal: towards connection, understanding, peace, and harmony between all the people all the way around the world.
We had, this month, a very important meeting of women in Northern Israel, organized by Siham and Abeldsalam, and another project will meet soon in Bethlehem, in Palestine, organized by Abedlsalam and Mohamad Jamous. Also we will soon have the project of the youth and our monthly Families Forum.
All of these projects bring the people together to better understand both themselves and the others through the event, through connecting human being to human being, and by studying together. We need to tell you that here in the Holy Land through these projects our hope has begun to be bigger – it’s increased – and it’s made us safer and better to be able to create our truly human society.
“…through these projects our hope has begun to be bigger – it’s increased – and it’s made us safer and better to be able to create our truly human society.”
As I said before – the brave create peace, not war. You are helping us to create this peace, so you, also, are brave. We say to you now that if you’ll support us we will work and we will run to anyplace in the Middle East to help and to heal and to promote the people and the process of peace.
We recognize and we realize all of the problems, challenges, and difficulties all around us in the Holy Land – and we will not stay calm and passive. We need to activate our responsibility as human beings of faith from all the different religions to come to be together in solidarity. We belong to the same root, and our differences arose so that we can be able to repair and to heal our world, not to create wars, and difficulties, and conflicts.
In our projects all of the people who participate say that they are so much safer just by being together – and that if they will be alone and isolated, they fear there can be lots of fear and lots of pain. There are others, the radicals, who still create lots of problems between all of the people, but if we will stand together as one human family we will have the strength to close all the gates of the darkness and the challenges.
“We need to activate our responsibility as human beings of faith from all the different religions to come to be together and to work together in solidarity.”
Many people in our projects say to us, “We need to stay here, we don’t need to go home, because this is our home.” They felt that in the heart of the the human being, they can be at home. All the participants really wanted was to feel, to touch, and to look at the other – to know and connect with the other – they long for this, and this is our message for you.
And really, we need you to keep supporting us and as we promised in the beginning, we will keep creating lots of connection, understanding, and the knowing of one another.
Peace and love,
