Redoubling Our Efforts For Peace
2018 Fall Programs in the Holy Land:
We’re Holding 4 Events Each Month
Dear Friends of Peace,
The Abrahamic Reunion is engaging in front-line peacemaking at a higher level of consistency than ever before.
At the end of last year we set out to create a fundamental expansion of the AR’s peacemaking in the Holy Land – Healing the Heart of the Holy Land – and thanks to you, it launched a new wave of our work with the very first iterations of Young Peacemakers, Families Forum, Women’s Gatherings, and our first Peace Summit.
You can read about the power of Healing the Heart of the Holy Land, and the deep impact it made, in this one-page newsletter, where over 500 people of many faiths came together, including solidarity visits to a Refugee Camp in Bethlehem, a Yeshiva that suffered terror attacks, and a demolished Bedouin village in southern Israel.
We are committed to holding four major programs every month in the Holy Land through the end of 2018: Families Forum, Young Peacemakers, Women’s Gatherings, and Palestinian Text Studies, and in December we’ll culminate again with a national-level Peace Summit.
Tensions are again rising – you have likely read Dr. Anna Less’ recent blogs detailing the current social climate due to questions and fears around a new “basic law” passed in Israel.
Consistency and longevity are key factors in creating a successful movement for peaceful coexistence: 20% of those who engaged in peacebuilding 20 years ago are still participating today, and over 80% of participants said they trusted the other community more.[1]
The AR is doubling down on peacebuilding in a desperate time for the peace movement. We as front-line peacemakers are committing more than ever, and calling for this program expansion.
Can you make a donation today of $100 or more to support the AR’s fall programs?
Please send us your support and be with us in your hearts and prayers – Peace, Salaam, Shalom,
Sheikh Ghassan Manasra, Siham Halabi, Rabbi Nagen, Mohamad Jammous, Khalil & Sana Albaz, Deacon Jiries Mansour, Abed Manasra, and all of our front-line peacemaking team in the Holy Land.

[1] As discussed in the BICOM report A Future for Israeli-Palestinian Peacebuilding by Prof. Ned Lazarus published July 2017: “Peace building projects work,” Lazarus writes, saying that almost one in five Israeli-Palestinian peace-building participants is “still heavily involved in peace building 20 years after attending their first event and, on average, more than 80% of participants said they trusted the other community more.” Read the study here, or the JPost Article here.
