Internship in Video Editing for Peace

Abrahamic Reunion has been working to create peace in Israel/Palestine for the last 20 years by creating connection, understanding, and empathy between the different religions, cultures, and peoples of Israel and the West Bank.  The Abrahamic Reunion is apolitical, and takes no political positions, believing that solutions will best be found by the people who live there.

We are seeking a part-time Intern in Video Editing to work with footage from events in the Holy Land to produce a series of interviews, smaller clips for social media and marketing, and work on a documentary on the renowned Christian peacemaker, Elias Jabbour, one of the co-Founders of the Abrahamic Reunion, which will be shown at The Parliament of the World’s Religions, August 2023 in Chicago, and other locations.

  • 5-10hrs per week, 3-month internship
  • Remote work via the cloud

Specific Tasks:

  • Edit interviews with peacemakers from Israel and Palestine
  • Excerpt shorter social media-sharable clips

Desired Skills:

  • Current student, graduate, or experience in Film /  Video Production
  • Good communication skills
  • Adept video editing skills
  • Graphics a plus
  • Knowledge of Hebrew or Arabic a plus

Translation Volunteer

The Abrahamic Reunion has numerous video interviews with peacemakers that we need translated from Arabic to English, and some from Hebrew to English, and transcribed into English. We are seeking help from someone who is fluently bilingual or a translator.

Organizational Planning Internship

with Tom Gilb 

for the Abrahamic Reunion

This is a unique opportunity to learn an exciting planning methodology while contributing to a peace initiative in the Middle East.

Tom Gilb, is an internationally recognized consultant sustainable planning.  (Wikipedia:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Gilb, professional website: https://www.gilb.com/.

He is offering to guide four people through his planning process to draft a business plan for the Abrahamic Reunion (AR).  Three of the participants will be interns and the fourth will be the AR administrator. The Abrahamic Reunion is a non-political organization that organizes people-to-people peace initiatives in Israel and Palestine. (https://www.abrahamicreunion.org/)

Successful applicants need to commit to 5 hours a week for three months.  One hour a week will be spent in consultation with Tom and four hours for reading and drafting. 

We are looking for applicants from graduate schools of public policy, administration, planning and business administration or who are currently involved in organizational planning and want to develop new skills.  Interns can expect to learn new ways to plan and manage change while participating in an impactful campaign for peace.
