Shalom Friends,
Happy Hanukkah. The story of Hanukkah teaches us that to overcome challenges it’s not about the numbers.
And a special prayer that we say on Hanukkah we thank God that the few overcame the many.
At the end of the Torah reading, on Hanukkah, we add from the book of Zechariah, the verse that says, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubavel: not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says G*d” (Zechariah 4:6).
It is the spirit that overcomes.
In Hanukkah during the darkest time of the year, we start by lighting one candle. But from day to day, that light grows, so that at the end we have all the candles of the Menorot shining.
Please help the Abrahamic Reunion to take our spirit, and to grow, to allow the spirit to overcome the challenges that strength and force alone cannot solve.
