This Building Resilience for Peace™ online interactive training is designed to help you to bounce back quickly from personal and professional challenges.
Based on research, vetted by experience:
Developed by Bryan Sexton, associate professor in psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Duke’s School of Medicine: Bryan is an expert in cultivating resilience, the ability to bounce back from life’s obstacles. This experiential, interactive program has been taught to hundreds of thousands who live and work in life-and-death situations*.

Glenn Sackett and Debra Sofia will lead you through a process of self-discovery and tool-building to cultivate your resilience to life’s changing circumstances and fulfill your life’s purpose.
In these 90-minute interactive, experiential online meetings, over the course of
3 weeks you will build on your experience and insights to acquire new skills to deal with disruptions thrown your way, both personally and professionally. With this training you’ll develop greater ease and harmony in life, gain tools to withstand the most adverse conditions, and create your Personal Resilience Plan.
Course Schedule
Week 1:
- Acknowledge the inner resiliency you already have
- Explore why a resilience tune-up is necessary and helpful
- Develop your Purpose Story: your “Foundation of Resilience”
- Discover 3 personal Evergreen Energies that support and protect you
- Practice 3 powerful Resilience Tools you can use right away
Week 2:
- Truth: Only YOU Hold the keys to Positive Adaptive Change
- Cultivate the 4th Evergreen Energy (Hint: it has to do with connectivity)
- Understand the C-Zone Energy Focus for ease, harmony and effectiveness
- Envision Keystone Habits for personal and community well-being
Week 3:
- “Wondrous is this” – Exploring the role of Awe and Wonder
- Focus on answering questions and meeting the specific needs of our group
- Built for Life: Create your Personal Resilience Plan to support your mind, body and spirit
Meet Your Coaches:
Nature explorer, photographer, and chaplain Glenn Sackett guides workshops on building resilience in life. Glenn trained under Bryan Sexton of Duke University to facilitate workshops on Building Resilience. As a chaplain and photographer, he has learned to see clearly what matters most: to be receptive to what life is providing. So, too with the practice of resilience.

Adding breathing practices and visualization to the process, Debra Sofia Cope is a 35-year Sufi practitioner in the Inayatiyya and the Ruhaniat Sufi Orders. She is a Cheraga of the Universal Worship, a graduate of Suluk Academy, and currently enrolled in The Divine Art of Alchemy with Pir Zia. She studies Kabbalah under Rabbi David A. Cooper and Chabad Rabbi Benjy Brackman.
