Dear Friends, Brothers and Sisters,
You may have heard about the great wave of violence that we recently faced in Palestine, and we are still facing it until this moment.
Most recently we faced the death of the Palestinian activist Nizar Banat, a defender of human rights and the Palestinian right to live in dignity, who died at the hands of the Palestinian security forces when he was arrested.
As I mentioned before, freedom of expression, expressing opinion, and living in dignity are very limited in Palestine, almost impossible.
Despite this, I have continued my work in the field of peace-building and peacemaking for many years, defying all these obstacles and challenges, and believing that the path of peace and love among all is the one and only way to achieve a better future for the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.
On Wednesday, June 30, at 6:00 pm, I organized a Palestinian youth meeting for the West Bank region to raise the awareness and enhance confidence in facing any storm that would affect the peace-building process. More than 25 Palestinian participants participated, distributed as follows: 13 Muslims, 10 Christians, 2 Samaritans.
The meeting was very beautiful, full of vitality and energy! All the participants were completely sure of the impact of the AR’s events on the peace-building process in the Holy Land. They also fully believe in the importance of maintaining our unity and completing the dialogue programs with the Israeli side, which would advance peacemaking and change minds for the better.
The important thing in these meetings is how we always find new ways that change the minds of young people for the better so that they are not affected by the unfortunate events that are taking place in Palestine. And to encourage them how to think deeply about how to move towards the right path and spread faith and love in this path of peace.
Our youth did not lose hope, and they were not greatly affected by these unfortunate events that occurred. This was due to their prior participation in the programs of the Abrahamic Reunion and their belief in the principles of unity and dialogue.
And, as we said before, whoever wants to make peace must start with themself first, and then spread it with the other side.
Our meeting lasted for an hour, we discussed many things, and we stressed the importance of continuing our important work in the Holy Land, and not to lose hope, no matter the difficulties.
The young generation is a very important generation in completing this path that our parents and grandparents started, and we will not give in to any obstacles and challenges, big or small.
The meeting has ended for today, and everyone is ready and waiting for the meetings to return on the ground and to meet each other in person once again.
